Rated Outstanding by Ofsted, Bessborough Nursery and Pre-School provides Early Years education and childcare to children from birth to 5 years old. You can find us in Pimlico, opposite Pimlico underground station. We are a bright and spacious nursery with separate rooms and gardens for babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers.
Our babies do messy play, planting and yoga activities in their own designated garden space. Our pre-school and toddlers grow vegetables and herbs in their large outdoor space. There are lots of activities to try from gardening to woodwork, ballet, baking, collaging, climbing and more!
The children love to get out and about, with trips to the shops and local museum. Parents regularly join in the fun too, leading science experiments and storytelling sessions. Our in-house chef provides all meals using healthy recipes from LEYF’s menu.

Bessborough Nursery has been awarded the Silver Award. A scheme funded by the Mayor of London which supports and recognises achievements in child health, wellbeing and development in early years settings.

Anlea, Nursery Manager
Hello, my name is Anlea and I am the manager at Bessborough Nursery and Preschool. I joined LEYF in 2022 and have been working in early years for 8 years. I especially enjoy music and creative play as tools to inspire confidence and happiness in children, guiding them as they grow into empowered individuals ready to make their mark on the world. At Bessborough, we work hard to provide a welcoming and enabling environment where both children, parents and staff feel empowered and happy. Looking forward to welcoming you!

Food and nutrition at LEYF
Healthy eating is important at LEYF. Our chefs, trained at our Early Years Chef Academy, understand children’s specific nutritional needs, and how to encourage children to be adventurous in their tastes. We cater for different dietary requirements and allergies.
