Maria

Head of Talent Acquisition

Maria joined LEYF in late 2022 with a mission to transform recruitment and help our nurseries and central office build strong, happy teams. She brings more than 25 years’ experience across financial services, professional services and the charity sector, along with a practical, people-first approach to finding great talent.

As the first person in her family to go to university, Maria knows first-hand how much access to quality education and the right opportunities can change lives. That’s one of the reasons LEYF’s social purpose means so much to her.

Her happy place? Either at an event with her team or in one of our nursery baby rooms. Maria works closely with teams across LEYF to make sure our nurseries feel supported, have the people they need and can do their best work for children and families every day.

Josh

Senior Recruitment Manager

Josh leads recruitment across our nurseries and central teams, making sure we’re attracting and hiring people who can make a real difference at LEYF.

He brings more than 10 years’ recruitment experience from organisations including Meta, Sony Pictures Entertainment, IMG Media and NBCUniversal, where he built recruitment teams, worked with senior leaders and led hiring projects across different roles and markets.

What brought Josh to LEYF was the chance to use all that experience for something with a real purpose. The people we recruit have a direct impact on children’s development, learning and wellbeing, and that gives his work a bigger meaning.

For Josh, that’s what makes working at LEYF particularly rewarding: knowing that great recruitment helps create great teams, and great teams help give children the best start in life.

Christine

Talent Scout

Christine joined LEYF in 2023, bringing nearly 19 years’ experience in talent attraction and people-focused roles. She started her career working in nursery settings before moving into recruitment, so she knows the Early Years sector from both sides.

As a Talent Scout, Christine is passionate about finding great people and helping them discover where a career in Early Years could take them. She loves meeting people, creating a positive candidate experience and helping our nurseries build teams that make a real difference to children and families.

What she loves most about LEYF is our social purpose and our commitment to changing the world, one child at a time. Christine enjoys getting out and about at careers events, building connections across the Early Years community and championing the opportunities available at LEYF.

Amina

Education and Employment Advisor

Amina joined LEYF in 2022 and works with people at the beginning of their careers, supporting early careers recruitment, apprenticeships and work placements.

After studying History at university, Amina worked on programmes helping young people access apprenticeships and career development opportunities. She’s passionate about making career opportunities feel accessible and helping people see possibilities they might not have considered.

One of her favourite parts of the job is meeting people and helping them take those first steps towards a meaningful career in Early Years. Whether someone is looking for their first job, an apprenticeship or a new direction, Amina enjoys helping them understand the different routes available.

She was drawn to LEYF because of its strong social purpose and inclusive culture, and because of the opportunities we give our people to keep learning and developing throughout their careers.

Mamta

Talent Acquisition Officer

Mamta joined LEYF in 2023, bringing more than 11 years’ experience across recruitment, HR and project management.

Before joining LEYF, she worked across a range of sectors including finance, IT, professional services and recruitment, giving her plenty of experience working with different people, teams and organisations.

At LEYF, Mamta supports our nurseries across London with their recruitment and loves helping people find careers that are both rewarding and meaningful.

Building relationships is a big part of what she enjoys about her role. Whether she’s supporting a candidate through their recruitment journey or working with a hiring manager to find the right person for their team, Mamta is all about making the experience as positive as possible.

Lacey-Anne

Talent Acquisition Officer

Lacey-Anne joined LEYF in 2021 and has spent the last 6 years working in Health & Social Care and Early Years recruitment.

Before moving into recruitment, she worked as a support worker in mother and baby units within family assessment. That experience gave her a real understanding of how important it is to have the right people in the right roles, particularly when working with children and families.

For Lacey-Anne, recruitment is about more than finding someone with the right qualifications. She looks for people who are compassionate, caring and understanding, and who genuinely want to make a difference to children’s lives.

That passion for finding the right people is at the heart of what she does at LEYF.

Sophie

Talent Acquisition Officer

Sophie joined LEYF in 2020 as an Administrator at one of our nurseries. Since then, she’s built her career within LEYF and is now part of the Recruitment team as a Talent Acquisition Officer.

Having started her LEYF journey in a nursery, Sophie understands what it’s like to be part of a nursery team and what makes a great place to work. Today, she uses that experience to connect talented people with rewarding careers across LEYF.

She particularly enjoys speaking to Students, Early Years Teachers and other Early Years professionals, helping them discover the opportunities available and find the right next step in their careers.

For Sophie, one of the best things about working at LEYF is being part of an organisation that puts children and families at the heart of everything it does.

Jordan

Talent Acquisition Officer

Jordan joined LEYF in April 2026, bringing experience across recruitment agencies, talent acquisition and HR in education, healthcare and corporate environments.

She’s CIPD Level 3 qualified and has managed recruitment from start to finish, from high-volume hiring and onboarding to working closely with teams to find the right people.

Jordan is passionate about Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and is always looking for ways to make the workplace more inclusive. She’s also known for being approachable, organised and people-focused, and enjoys building strong relationships with the teams and people she works with.

What Jordan values about LEYF is the collaborative culture and strong social purpose. She’s proud to be part of an organisation that makes a meaningful difference to children, families and local communities.

Maria

Talent Acquisition Officer

Maria joined LEYF in June 2026 with more than 15 years’ experience in talent acquisition across the charity, non-profit, healthcare, professional services and Early Years sectors.

She’s passionate about finding great people and building strong talent pipelines, and brings experience in everything from direct sourcing and workforce planning to candidate experience and supporting hiring managers.

At LEYF, Maria recruits for both nursery and central office roles, helping us find people who share our values and want to make a difference to children.

She particularly enjoys working with purpose-driven organisations, which is one of the things that attracted her to LEYF. She’s proud to be part of a social enterprise that’s focused on giving children the best start in life while making a positive difference to families and communities.
